New Year? New Me!

I have to, have to, have to... blog again, and be accountable for my actions

It's a new year and a lot of things are different. One being, I have gone back to school- taking Liberal Arts until I decide on going for my nursing degree or getting into something educational wise. My current classes; English Comp. I, Algebra I, and Intro to Computers (not that I needed it, but to brush up on my excel and power point skills.)

Two, I definately need to lose weight. Being "fat" is no fun, to be honest. Even though most days (probably 5 out of 7) I feel super duper about myself, I would like nothing more than to fit into some skinny, sexy, stuff, and most importantly - some heels instead of wedges :)

Three, I now have a sewing machine. Given to me by an amazing customer at the pharmacy. So all I need are some needles, threads, and fabrics.  I'm looking forward to revamping my entire house with D-I-Y projects like: refurnishing our kitchen table & chairs, this old living room lamp I have, and sewing up some new curtains and pillows, and eventually redoing our entire bedroom. Don't know when or how, but I'll find the time and figure it out! In the midst of all that... I also want to revamp some old clothes. Starting with a pair of jeans which I will post pictures of when I am finished.

Seeing how tomorrow is Monday - I will start counting calories again and weigh-ins on Mondays. And I have to just remember that COMMITMENT & DEDICATION is whats going to give me the results I want. I just have to take it one day at a time. If I screw up, shut up, and move on. Every day is a new chance <3

So now that I've shared my plan for now with the world... I am going to share some pictures. Today I successfully cooked my first home made chicken pot pie.

Picked Out My Classes!

So I'm officially back in school. I enrolled into Great Bay Community College for Liberal Arts to Nursing major. I start January 23rd. I will be taking three classes to start; going to school 3 days a week and taking an online course. I am really excited.

Sorry if this first post is a little jumbled. I have a lot of different things on my mind. Its the new year. I hope to eat healthier, work more on my marriage, do good in school, and blog more!

We'll see what actually happens....

I'm Going, Going, Back, Back.....

...to school.

I decided to go back to school. Let's catch up. First of all it's been ten years since I have been in high school, I would have graduated in 2001 but instead dropped out my junior year (stupid) and got my GED. I then went to school for Medical Assistance for a year in 2004 and did some other computer management courses. Then recently I went to school online for health occupations. I started in pyschology and english comp. But the school (Ashford University based out of Iowa) was horrible in communicating with me and I left. That was the beginning of the year. Now I owe them six grand :/

Now, I am attending Greatbay Community College of Portsmouth, NH. Today I take my placement test which to check my education level and it is like four hours long. I just tried the sampler test and realized how much I have actually forgotten, and how bad I am at math. So I was just googling "how to do a math percentage" and "fifth grade division" to catch up on my math skills! Wish me luck.

Right now I am just going to take Liberal Arts. That way I can take all the classes I want, like psychology, english composition, and human developments; because I do not know what I want to be when I grow up yet. Most likely I will try to get into the nursing program. But if I had my way I would be a pharmacist. But get real, pharmacy school is all biology, chemistry, and MATH~ so it seems impossible!!

Besides going back to school, I apologize that my last post was around Halloween. Since then Ive been working alot, so has my husband, and we have been completely broke. We have been living off grilled cheese, chicken nuggets, pizza, and fries and I have probably gained 5 lbs in the past few months. It was only up until a few days ago that we actually went GROCERY SHOPPING for the first time in months. So I was finally able to stock up on yogurt and oats, fresh veggies, and other healthy stuff. I've come to realize lately how uncomfortable with myself I am. For the past few weeks, every thing that I have put on has made me feel fat. I have a ton of clothes and I find myself not wanting to leave the house cause I dont like the way I look. And it has nothing to do with my clothes. Its my thunder thighs and my big fat tire roll of a stomach. So I am really hoping that I can get back into a healthier way of life :) Again, wish me luck......
