The First Day

Day 1:
I am feeling very anxious. I just want to go grocery shopping and buy a variety of new, healthier, foods. But my pay check was delayed because of Columbus Day so I am waiting for it to come. I went on The Biggest Loser website & a few other sites to help me choose some low calorie meals. I wrote down a great grocery list of foods and cannot wait to eat lunch today because I am hungry and have nothing here at home!!

I also was referred to Live Strong by a friend, you should check it out. You can set up a profile, weightloss goal, a diary, it has a calorie counter, you can set up a daily "Plate." Where each day you pick exactly what foods you have ate and it automatically calculates the calories. It even has all the fast food chains menus on there! It is a very helpful website & motivates me even more. The more help I have keeping track of what I eat is much better for me. It calculated that for my height, weight, and age, with moderate exercise, I can take in 2550 calories a day and lose about 2 pounds a week. So I'm just gonna try to focus on 2500 calories and try to do as much exercise as I can while at home. I do alot of squatting & walking around at work, as well as reaching for things. And it is always hot in the pharmacy so we are always sweating LOL

Good thing today is my 'DAY 1' cause yesterday I already failed. I was busy working and didnt have lunch so when PJ came to visit I had him grab me & the boss man some McDonalds from next door. But I did eat a hamburger salad when I came home lastnight. ( We had scrambled hamburg from a few days prior, so I threw it in a bowl of lettuce, sliced carrots, cabbage, and shredded cheese- it was delicious ) I don't think that I can quit carbs completely. So Im just going to try to eat less bread than usual. I love my grillcheese sandwiches, and I love BREAD in general so if I try to focus more on salads for lunch that will take away most of my bread intake.

Anyways- I am going to call my work again and see if the checks came. This is my one day off until next week and I have alot to do today.... muah!!

Ok So the Shopping is Over
$180 dollars later and grocery shopping is done. Needless to say someone in Human Resources screwed up & Fedex is saying our checks were never sent out? So I still havent gotten my pay check yet & my manager said we may not get them till sometime next week, we will find out on Monday. That totally pisses me off. But on another subject- we went grocery shopping! Spent way too much money- healthy food is expensive! I bought SO much produce! So many fresh items....mmmm... scallions, lettuce, romain lettuce, onions, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, zuchini.... some stuff to prepare low calorie dinners this week. Low calorie snacks, Light fit Yogurt, I bought NOOOOOOOOO soda at all. Well PJ bought himself Sprite but I hate Sprite so that doesnt matter. I got myself Oceanspray LIGHT Juice and a few 8packs of water for work. I've already had a delicious lunch & already tracked it on my Live Strong profile. I have 1,500 calories left for the night :) I am going to try not to eat after 7pm.

For lunch I had some romain lettuce, chicken from a Rotissarie chicken I bought at Demoulas, some scallions, bacon bits, and some onion pieces (they are in replacement of  croutons) It was delicious!
