Altering a photo is a great way to focus on your favorite part. They make for great gifts too! Here are a few pictures of my own that I have altered, it just gives you an idea of my talent (which is limitless)

Then share my page on your wall, so other friends can come by. Once you've done that just shoot me a message telling me you that you did, and what kind of facebook cover you would like.
